Stacey Lane

MSW, LCSW – EMDR Certified Therapist & Clinical Supervisor

Hello!

I’m so glad you’ve decided to take this brave step towards prioritizing your mental well-being and starting your healing journey. It’s an honor to be part of your path to transformation. My goal is to support and empower you through therapy, helping you reshape your life in meaningful ways.

With over ten years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with both adolescents and adults, guiding them through personal barriers and ingrained patterns that may be blocking their sense of self and fulfillment. I aim to create a warm and safe environment where you can explore and address the challenges you face. During our sessions, I offer support, empathy, and understanding, fostering an atmosphere where you can confidently turn inward to overcome whatever is holding you back from realizing your full potential. I believe in tailoring therapeutic approaches to suit each individual’s unique strengths and needs.

My expertise includes self-esteem, life transitions, relationship dynamics, trauma, stress management, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and firmly believe in the transformative power of EMDR Therapy. Whether you’re curious about EMDR or have general inquiries about therapy, I’m here to provide guidance and support.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy working out at the gym, exploring the outdoors through hiking or fishing, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, which is why I am committed to making the process as comfortable and accessible as possible. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or to arrange an appointment. Together, we can embark on a journey towards a brighter future.

Hello everyone!

One of my greatest fascinations involves the mysteries of the human mind. As one of the most complex structures known to exist in our world, the inner workings of the human brain continue to be something that, collectively, we know little about. One thing we do know is that our brains function to protect us from unpleasant features of human experience such as discomfort, pain, and trauma. But sometimes, when the brain is doing everything in its power to protect us from these unpleasant experiences, it may feel as though our minds are working against us, rather than with us. My familiarity with this challenge has led me to becoming a mental health counselor and I strive to help my clients form a healthier relationship with their own minds, in the pursuit of living their happiest and most fulfilling lives.

My approach to therapy involves an existential-humanistic perspective of life. The existential piece of this perspective focuses on life’s bigger picture, helping clients to envision their desired life path, assessing their current position, and devising strategies to bridge the gap between where they are currently and where they hope to be in the future. The humanistic piece of this perspective is greatly client-centered, focusing therapy on the characteristics, experiences, and perspectives of each client, and tailoring treatment to best meet their individualistic needs and goals. Ultimately my goal as a therapist is to help my clients to realize their greater purpose and potential, while also considering their individualistic experiences, personal strengths, and current positions in life.

While I enjoy working with clients of all ages, I’ve discovered a particular affinity for children, adolescents, and young adults who are trying to understand themselves and their place in this world. I integrate various treatment modalities into my practice, rooted in a holistic foundation of mind-body-spiritual wellbeing. Drawing from this foundation, I adapt my approach to suit the specific needs of each client. This may involve employing expressive (art) therapy, child-centered play therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, cognitive-behavioral strategies, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, or psychoeducational interventions. Throughout the therapeutic journey, I prioritize open communication and strive to cultivate a strong and collaborative therapeutic alliance, providing a comfortable, safe, warm, and non-judgemental space to sort through challenges, where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and explore the tools needed to help them achieve and maintain happiness in the midst of life’s chaos.

Outside of therapy, I have a wide range of interests and hobbies that allow me to connect with individuals from many walks of life. In my free time, I enjoy creating art through painting, coloring, cross-stitching, and writing, and delving into the creativity of others by listening to podcasts and music, watching movies, and reading books. I’m an introvert that greatly values my time alone, but I also love an adventure with friends, whether that be going to a reggae concert or taking a road trip to a new (preferably haunted) place. I also greatly value my time with my family and spending time outdoors camping, fishing, hiking, etc. I believe I’m a genuine, down-to-earth, and open-minded individual and I’d be honored to help you as you take this step forward in your mental health journey.

Greetings!

I am excited to begin this journey with individuals seeking hope and healing. I am dedicated to helping people navigate the challenging terrain of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other concerns they may face.

My path to counseling was driven by a deep curiosity about the human experience, a fascination with the stories we carry, and a desire to empower individuals to overcome life’s challenges. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2022 and graduated with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2024. Through my work in private practice and community health agencies, I have gained valuable experience working with diverse populations. I have seen the urgent need for empathetic, trauma-informed mental health care and the demand for a safe, authentic, and nurturing environment for individuals to navigate life’s challenges. My approach is holistic, considering the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and I believe in customizing therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs and strengths of each individual.

At the core of my practice is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the most crucial factor for growth. I strive to create a supportive space where you can feel heard and understood, free to explore your vulnerabilities. Through open communication and genuine empathy, we can work together to uncover and embrace your authentic self.

Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, spending time in nature, practicing mindfulness, engaging in exercise, and cherishing moments with friends and family. I would be honored to accompany you on your healing journey!
